Interesting 2nd day

My 2nd day at work was greeted with warm welcome from various team members. It felt good to be welcomed and all seemed friendly. The heads of regions seemed keen to have me onboard, which i m gussing they all welcome the extra hands and head in this region to grow the biz. So it felt great – to be wanted. Hopefully this continues.

I am starting to get used to working from home. Realise i hv to be disciplined in aspects like taking lunch and resting. Cant seem to tear myself from the laptop and reading emails. Even when i do, it was just for toilet breaks. I had to drag myself to eat and drink. So terrible. Also got to set a strict regime to start and shut down my laptop. But then again… once i’ve got my mobile setup to receive email, its as good as working round the clock too.

However, despite all these adjustments, i am enjoying the fact that:
1) i dont have to spend time dressing up for work 🙂
2) save time on transport to and fro office
3) get to spend more time w the kids (like i havent got enough of them already!)
4) can do housework when i want to
5) save $ on eating out
And the list goes on…..

SO.. i do like the idea of working from home, Which is why even though this role require me to travel, i was still willing to give it a shot. For i knew even if i were to get a local role, i may not have such flexibility to spend time w the family.

Looking forward to a better future already 🙂

New beginning again!

Today marks my first day with the new company. Exciting to learn and experience again. However as the role allow me to work from home, it feels as if i am not working actually. I have no colleagues to talk to and chit chat with. But i am Looking forward to my new adventure!
